With three national awards, two decades' experience, and an international track record of hundreds of successful shows, Jim Clayton is Toronto's favourite jazz musician for corporate and special events.
His recording act, The Clayton/Scott Group, was named Group of the Year at Canada's national Smooth Jazz Awards – twice! (They also picked up Best Jazz Recording at the Canadian Urban Music Awards.) Jim's music has been heard on network television, in feature films and on international radio.
Jim has performed across four continents, including shows for our troops in Bosnia, and for ex-pats in China. He's worked alongside Will Ferrell, Martin Short, Deborah Cox, Dan Aykroyd, Daryl Sittler, and cast members of Saturday Night Live, Whose Line Is It Anyway? and SCTV.
Jim's musicians are among the country's finest, having worked with the likes of Feist, Diana Krall, Tom Jones, Paul Young, Oscar Peterson, Bruce Cockburn, Nelly Furtado, Deborah Cox, Blue Rodeo, Tito Puente, Billy Ray Cyrus, The Philosopher Kings, Loreena McKennitt, and Holly Cole. They've appeared on David Letterman, Conan O'Brien, and the Juno and Grammy Awards, and have played on soundtracks for numerous movies and television series.
